Travelers might also reach the area by train, which takes only a few hours.

Three structures make up the sacred district of Machu Picchu. These include the Temple of Three Windows, Intiwatana and Temple of Sun. There are specific regulations in place for visitors. Many choose to travel here through a guided tour, which adds to convenience. The Galapagos Islands are also a popular attraction for traveling people. This is the name used to refer to an archipelago of volcanic islands. These are located on either side of the Equator in the Pacific Ocean in Ecuador. The Islands and surrounding water make up an Ecuadorian national park, province and biological marine reserve.

People are attracted to this place for numerous reasons. These endemic species were studied long ago by Charles Darwin. In fact, his observances and collections during his voyage of the Beagle are what contributed to the Darwin Theory on evolution via natural selection.

People visiting South America may have interest in tours available in this area, many of which offer multiple destinations. There are a lot of people who would want to visit both locations so tour companies have begun to accommodate travelers with combined trips. It is important that people do research to determine what all is included in these packages. Doing research should include reading the fine print details.
